Hi, I'm having a retaining wall made of sleepers in the garden. Since it is an area that floods periodically the guy doing it has suggested slotting the sleepers into RSJs / C channels that are fixed deep into the ground. It is a small retaining wall with earth behind it.

The steel has come with red oxide primer, what paint can I use on top of that? Bearing in mind outdoor use and visible I'd like it to look nice and weather well. Prob either black or grey. Thanks

I work in steel fabrication and typically an enamel paint is what we use on pre primed steels

Hammerite or similar would do the trick, obviously it will eventually rust without upkeep due to not being galvanised
