Does mayhems hardened glass tubing require chamfering

chamfering is not to fit the tubes, but so you dont damage the orings with the sharp edges, am i wrong ?

This. You chamfer the edge of the tube to avoid cutting slices off the O rings.

The chamfer angles the tubing so that it compresses the O ring as you push it in.

Non chamfer would just leave a sharp edge that would slice the O ring leaving a bad seal.

All hard tubing should be chamfered

I would think you also need to sand smooth with it being glass also no? The chamfer tools create an angled edge but on glass I think it's still going to be sharp unlike plastic tube where the material is quite soft.
