Coming to the end of my current contract with Vodafone £12.50/m 500mg/100/Unlimited txt. Can't help but think I'm being ripped off TBH - I want more data but want to pay a similar price & get good reception.
Virgin are having a flash sale on a sim only contract. Little bit dearer at £18 a month, but you get 5000 minutes, unlimited texts and a huge 20GB of data. Or for £12 a month, you can 2500m, unlimited texts and 8GB of data. I've always been very happy with them as a mobile provider. Reception is good as they piggyback off EE.
That current tariff you're on is taking the **** these days.
/\/\/\ that's not a bad idea. I'll get one of those PAYG sims from a poundshop first. I need to get my phone unlocked though as I bought it from a vodafone shop.
Yeah for me it has been good, there is no difference in speed when i compared my contract with three vs three pay as you go no difference.
There has been a lot of complant so it is best to go with pay go just to see and whilst not being locked into a contract if the service is rubbish you can just leave.
edit
If you do go with three paygo, all you have to use is the three app to get packages if you wish or just to top up via bank card/debit card, you have to add funds then get a package with those funds so to speak so the money is on the three app/service.
Or just leave the funds on the three app/service and then there is no expiry date, but it is cheaper to get a package but lasts 30days that is if you pick the £10 package.
I don't know how much data you will use so... i reckon 12gb or 30gb of data allowance for your self.
That is a horrid deal on Voda - I've only been paying a little more ~£14 for 8GB allowance (which includes Spotify premium).
There is a bit of a weird disconnect on Voda packages at the moment though 8GB is £17/m and 20GB £20/m - at £15/m or less the data allowance drops off a cliff in comparison.
I use a lot of data so just went with EE at £26 a month for unlimited/unlimited/22GB with 12 months BT sports and 6 months Apple Music, it's not the best deal around but on this contract I'm on their faster 4G speeds which are improved in some areas over the previous deal I was on with them.
