First impressions, it does what Forza does best bridging the gap between arcade and sim. Looks glorious, runs well (1080p ultra solid 60fps) and car engine audio notes are bang on as always

Its good, but not good enough to make me want to stop playing 6 and fork out £40 on this before I complete it.

Roll on PCARS2 on friday :)

Such a shame they think this is acceptable for a pc racing game using a wheel, it's horrendous. Did they not even try any other pc racing sims with a wheel for any type of research and reference.

The game looks incredible though, it's exactly how I've been calling it for months and months. With a controller it'll give you stunning car porn arcade fun, but it's not a racing game to be taken seriously anymore. Project Cars 2 and the other already released stunning racing sims will be required for that accurate racing.

Sums it up. All that amazing work they have put in with Fanatec and wheel guys hahaha.

Starting the game for the first time it crashed after signing in.

Second attempt it crashed after choosing the racing suit.

Third attempt it crashed while loading the track.

Forth time it crashed while turning the assists off.

I can't be bothered to try a fifth time, particularly after reading the comments on FFB and using a wheel and will uninstall.

No overlays or any other programs running. Makes me glad I never pre order games and yet another Microsoft fail in the PC market. Waste of time and bandwidth.

Ar running anything in the background like afterburner ? sometimes these can cause issues.

Yeah I leave afterburner off for UWP games and run a pretty lean system in general - no bloat or tons of background stuff.

Setting the camera shake effect off in HUD menu made a noticable improvement to the smoothness, but seems it only applies after restarting the game. I think turning reflections and wet reflections from ultra to high helped a tad too, might be more cpu taxing than other settings.

Do some settings like car models only go up to high for anyone else?

Launched 1st time, no issues here :p

Just played through the 3 part of the demo, fun :D

4K@Ultra [email protected] from the benchmark (4790K & GTX 1080)

Only played on Gamepad, will set wheel up tomorrow, maybe see if 4K@60Hz@HDR is working via HDMI to lounge TV.

This runs perfectly at 4K everything set to max with AA disabled on my 1080ti, can't wait to get the full version, have that week off as well :)

^this and PCARS 2 are different games really, arcade/sim this is probably better but better sim pcars2 is probably the better option, but would need a wheel for that really. I enjoyed pcars 1 and will probably get the second one and this as well.

+1 with my 980ti / 6700K @4k.

I have already pre-ordered Pcars2!
