W10 reinstall (from an upgraded W7)

Hi

Had a bit of a scare over the past few days when my W10 blackscreened on start up. Eventually the Windows Automatic Repair seems to have resolved the issue. I'm still getting an error message around Windows Exporer and its got me a bit worried. I'd like to do a clean re-install but my version of W10 was from the free upgrade path from W7. I still have the W7 disc and serial (its a 5 year old OCUK system). I downloaded a W10 installation disc from Microsft when I moved to a new SSD on another PC. Can I just use that? Do I just use the W7 serial? How does all this work?

A: You don't need a key, just install without and the hardware profile will allow automatic activation.
B: You don't meed to reinstall, just do a refresh.

if you mean how to I sort out serial numbers when reinstalling windows 10 on a windows 7 upgraded to W10... you don't do anything Microsoft know about your PC and windows will auto activate

if your motherboard is the same, it should work without a problem.
I don't think it will ask for a serial if you install Win10 straight away

Start>Settings>Update and security>Reset this PC
