Hi all, long time no post...

Need your help...currently we use Outlook at work to receive samples into the department so Retail send over Outlook calendar invites and we accept/propose new times accordingly.

Sometimes we get too many that we can physically recieve so we have to propose different times..is there a way in Outlook to set up a specific quantity of time slots allowed in a certain time frame?

Eg up to 5 at 2pm.

Thanks

Could maybe use meeting room resources to model what you want, so there are 5 rooms available between 2pm and 3pm say ?

See what you mean - this sounds promising.

Bit of context, each clothing department across Menswear and Womenswear would send over a calendar request to us so we wouldn't send it over to them. Would this still work? And if the slot is taken, it'll just not be able to accept it?

The calendar used is a joint mailbox used by 8 people where the invites are sent to. Would we still be able to create rooms within this shared mailbox?

individual department could specify themselves as a participant in the meeting corresponding to the slot and update the agenda to specify details of the work;
I don't know if the slot could be locked to prevent edits by another department or if that would just require self discipline,

..or - just define five room resources and permit the departments to create meetings that correspond to work units; they would need to specify start/duration times, within constraints you require to optimise your resources.
