DIY weekend again. Wife reports a leak from the washing machine and it seems that the rubber seal is damaged (there is a small cut). Any tips on how to fix this as replacing it seems a bit tricky (Samsung washing machines are more like spaceships now days) not to mention very expensive.

If you mean the bellow seal for the door to drum casing it's under a LOT of movement, stretch and stress as the drum settles into a balance factor, a repair is highly unlikely to be durable, it needs renewing.

It's a bit smaller but there is a gap. About 4-5mm I would say so it has to something like a patch I guess.
Unfortunately I cannot rotate it so the cut is at the top as the gasket is asymmetrical.

Not an expensive job to DIY, but keep the kids out the way if this is your first time - you may find the air quickly turns blue. :D
