Hey guys,

So I have an issue and it only when I am playing video games. I get a sudden screech through headphones and my computer will freeze and sometimes both screens would go black.

Now I had this issue with my old graphics card a Gigabyte 1080 G1 sold it and got a 1080 TI Strix from OCUK so drivers are not a issue as I use DDU.

I checked my RAM all tests where OK no Errors.

My CPU Temperature is around 30-50c (Gaming)
PSU Temperature 44c

Computer Specs are

Z170 VIII Hero
I7 6700K (4.2Ghz (Turbo))
GTX 1080 TI Strix
Corsair 16GB DDR4 2400Hz
Corsair 750I PSU

So I am wondering is it PSU or my motherboard??

PSU would more likely cause total crash/shut down.
Though this kind problem can't exclude it.

Do you have that CPU at default settings or overclocked?
If overclocked remove those first.
Also using Intel Burn Test or Prime95 for CPU and Furmark for GPU simultaneous load should trigger problem if its PSU struggling under the load.
