Spec me... egg frying rings

Mainly I just want round eggs that fit nicely in a muffin. If they are identical to McDonald's effort or not doesn't really matter too much to me.

Anyway, I feel like I've kinda stollen OP's thread here lol.

Not at all, ultimately this is my desire too. Something relatively round that doesn't look like an atrocity in a muffin

Silicone egg rings work fine, we use them when we make a homemade mcmuffin

i use silicone rings and just cut the seepagey bits off. bake them in a cupcake tray if you're making loads
