I clean my tips at least fortnightly, by taking them off the car (rubber mallet).
I've never removed them before, is that easy enough to do?

As I say, with a rubber mallet and some careful "tapping" you can just slide them off/back on.
Far easier to keep them clean off the car than on the car!

Is it just me who hates the fact they are blocking the exhaust bits off like in the new Q5?
no I haven't seen anyone that actually likes them including myself
There's a few that don't mind them but I imagine would prefer it they were real

I wouldn't class that as bottling it. Daytona grey is the safe (read boring) colour.

Yep, I've had two Daytonas and there are far too many of them about now.
Was meaning to ask, what would people recommend for cleaning them as mine are getting a bit grubby.
It's a lovely colour, it's just become the defacto S-Line choice now and is far too common.

Depends on how long you've let them linger for. If I ever get too busy to clean them fortnightly then I tend to use a mildly abrasive polish (like SFX-2/SFX-3) with a microfibre cloth to bring them back to chrome. If cleaning them regularly, a non-acidic wheel cleaner and some elbow grease will be fine!
Either way, it's a darn sight easier off the car, and literally takes 2 minutes to knock them off with a rubber mallet!
Will have a look at them when I clean it this weekend.

What do people think of the 150hp 2.0tdi a4 avant ultra? I've found one at a local dealer that seems to tick a few boxes, anything i should look for or does the engine not cut the mustard?

I took my car into Inchanpe Audi Swindon to get a leaky door seal checked out. They've called me back to advise they want to change £900 to replace the seal but will bring it down to £710 out of "good will".
Has anyone successfully got this replaced under warranty?

Are you talking new or used car warranty? If used is it an Inchcape warranty or an extended Audi warranty?

Also worth noting, when I get it back I will be checking the drainage ports and the corner vents under the hood for any signs of stagnant water

None of the used car warranties I've seen, even the very good ones, cover seals like this.
