Doddies deadded. :(

His tickle stick will tickle no more.

Was only yesterday that he cancelled all his upcoming tour dates due to wanting to recover from a chest infection. But sadly, no such recovery.

Just read that he got married to his long time partner on friday... Damn.... :(

Thanks for decades of sillyness Doddie.

Drat, Dodd is dead :(
I think he was one of the last of the old time entertainers/comics.

He was never my favourite entertainer (I think I was born about 10 years late for him really), but he often raised a chuckle or a grin.

Genuinely saddened at this news. He was a dedicated entertainer and a very funny man, who gave so much to his fans, making them laugh to the very end. Good clean fun. Never had to resort to smut or Effin and blindin’ to make people laugh. He will be sorely missed. RIP Doddy.

Amazing factoid on the news just now, Ken Dodds song, Tears, was the 3rd highest selling single in the UK in the whole 1960s...only beaten by 2 Beatles tracks!

Indeed - RIP

I always remember my parents going to see him about 10 years ago on his stage tour. They said he did 2 hours, then took a 10 mins break and came back out and did another 2 hours and the place had to basically drag him off stage as it was after 11.30pm!! All for £15 a ticket.
