I allready have the ROG Crosshair VI for my 1800X. And I want to buy the 2700X..but do I realy need a new board if I gonna overclock anyway?

Not at all, the difference between the CH6 and CH7 is almost nothing.

You won't miss XFR Enhanced or the Precision Boost OC if you are manually OCing anyway.

I know its not a massive upgrade but current build is Black and Orange themed watercooled build in a big Phantek Enthoo Primo. I have a Fractal design R6 sat waiting for a build and I want to build a Black and White themed build using AIO cooling.

Either the taichi or asus prime I think for a black and white build :)

I just ran the test and it crashed after a few seconds:

does this mean my 1800X is a bad one?

Most likely the Asrock Taichi. Have just locked myself into this build by ordering the following.

Seasonic Snow Silent 750W '80 Plus Platinum' Modular Power Supply - White

£119.99*

BitFenix Alchemy SATA 6GB/s braided cable 30cm - White

£11.98*

Fractal Design Celsius S24 240mm All in One Water Cooler

£94.99*

Bitfenix Alchemy 2.0 Cable Extension Kit - White

£27.95*

BitFenix Alchemy 8pin EPS extension 45cm - White

£5.99*

BitFenix Alchemy Molex to SATA adapter 45 cm - sleeved white / black

£11.98*

all ready have some samsung SSD and a Fractal Design R6 which has white fan blades and PCI slot covers. Will look at reviews before spending out on Motherboard, CPU and Ram and that also gives a some more time for GPU prices to Fall more.

Nice - that looks like a pretty good result especially on so early a bios.
Are you getting a stable 4.34Ghz all core overclock with 3459mhz Ram?
If so could you do a Cinebench run on that with the new bios as a simple comparison?

Thanks!
