Excel - Weird Duplicates Issue

My dads sent me a file which has duplicates in but at the same time Excel doesn't seem to think there are duplicates.

If i do a countif then it counts more than one entry proving they're duplicates. But if i do the Excel function "Remove Duplicates" it says there are none and also if i do a if(A=B) type formula it suggests they're not the same.

Have uploaded the file if anyone has any ideas?

Cant see it as im at work. But they are possibly different internal formats. Try forcing them to the same format using text to columns function.

Tried that, even copied the data and re-pasted as values into a new worksheet which i figured would remove any duplicates.


As an update, i've managed to get it to remove the duplicates now by using Data>Advanced>Unique Values Only

Just can't understand why that would work but "Remove Duplicates" wouldnt
