Hi there

OK this is pretty much the first time in past 6 months plus where we've not only achieved MSRP but actually improved on them somewhat, its been hard to hit these price points as over the past week or so the pound weakening has made it very hard to hit these price points, as such were just sacrificing margin our side to get them this low, with stocks landing this week its not easy, but here are the highlights:

There are a lot more cards reduced and now in stock too, so be sure to browse the relevant sections. :)

A month ago I would have jumped at some of these prices but might as well wait and see what the future holds now.
That's maybe part of the reason for the drops, apart form mining being not so great at the moment and the cards now long in the tooth - new stuff probably just around the corner :). I think NV release their quarterly results tonight. Any bad news on GPU sales probably likely to ensure new cards sooner rather than later so they can start the upgrade cycle owners go through again = ££££££. Much better pricing now anyways

I learned, oooh, about 42 years ago, to take sales pitch talk with a handsome pinch of salt.

Haha, indeed, as I said in the other thread, it's just sales talk to shift stock.

This is just the start of the price drops, two factors at play, possibility of new cards pretty, and huge back orders being fulfilled due to drop off in demand in mining purchases, means excess stock needs to be shifted before it becomes an E-tailer price war/stock burden overhead.

GTX 1070's should hit sub £349 before the end of the month, and the Ti's will be down to £379 or less, no doubt we'll also see 1080's at £429 or less, not sure about the TI's, best historical price I have ever seen was £599 for a blower style card.

No one has anything to lose by waiting, unless you need card(s) right now then sitting it out is the best case for your cash. :)

1070’s should be around £220, 1070Ti at £250, 1080 at £280, and 1060’s at £180 for 6 gig.

Again, why should we feel we are getting "good" deals now...... Aren't these the prices they were when first released 2 years ago........... In fact, iirc, they were cheaper at release...

Baffles me how people get all excited over prices like this :o Perhaps because they/we have been getting shafted for so long now, any sort of reduction is "amazing".

Pretty pointless buying any of these current cards with the new ones right around the corner too, guaranteed,

And yup lolololol at the "these prices won't be repeated again in the last "sale" thread" :D Watch as in a few weeks/months you then see even further reductions.

Don't buy now, new cards round the corner.

Don't buy xx80 Ti now, rather be on new tech with the new xx80 cards.

xx80 has been out for over a year now, why buy an xx80 Ti based on old tech? New cards not far off.

Maybe the thread should be titled, "price normalisation almost". Can you imagine someone saying they are getting a good deal on a brand new outgoing model car, but paying MSRP, they'd get laughed off the planet. :D
