I'm at the start of a 110 build myself. Getting the most common rotten parts together and sorted first while looking for a cheap donor vehicle.

Building it as an expedition vehicle so going with the 300tdi engine. Got one in bits at the minute and just got the block back with a rebore and skim. Painted it the other day and will start the rebuild next week.

Like you everything that can be galvanised will be and every bolt that can be stainless will be as well.

The lane I planned to go down was closed but I found a new way into an area we stumbled across on the bikes a few years ago.

Would be a perfect place to camp in the summer.

Anyone at the Billing Land Rover Show this weekend?

Going to check out the off road course and see if its worth £20 for 2 laps.

I regret selling it but the constant maintenance and repair really got to me and I couldn't afford it. These days I'd be afraid of it being nicked as they are stolen so frequently and easily.

It's a real shame, the garage I use are massively into 4x4ing and are constantly sharing "Landrover stolen" posts on Facebook.

Went for a play this afternoon, had 2 stuck landys in about 5 mins!
Luckily one of us went prepared, it wasn't me....

Some nice routes through a wooded area as well, found a dodgy looking bridge to go over, was a bit tight.

Had a good day, £20 pay and play and hardly anyone else there.

Just had a 2.5" lift fitted to the Jeep and have a 4x4 driving course this weekend. This is required by the jeep club I've joined. Looking forward to getting out on some trips once that's done.

I'm out on another Jeep trip this weekend, really looking forward to it. I'll try to get more pictures of the scenery and the trail this time.

Had a bit of fun yesterday. I learned that dedicated winter tyres aren't good in slick mud...:D

We had fun driving through Northern Montana to recce a hike we were planning on doing before the weather turned, but decided to go anyway. Most of the way was good, but the last few miles was up a road with slick mud. Decided to turn back after the tread filled up with mud, going downhill was fun... :p

I'll try and get some photos up soon as the scenery was stunning.

My Shogun, although hasn't seen much mud, it's often filled to the headlining with stuff/tools.
Recently went away for a week with the family, and what would have filled the other half's ix35's boot to the headlining and spare rear seat to the headlining, fitted in the boot under the boot cover!

Averaged an actual 27mpg of dirty diesel over the last 4000 miles.
