Afforementioned cheap Ingersoll, now with Zuludiver NATO strap, very happy! Seems to be running about +15-20s a day, just hack it every so often against the Waveceptor which is now little more than a bedside ornament! Apologies for slight potato quality, shaky hands man!

(Not too huge a watch, just skinny wrists!)

Hmm, Which watch should I go for guys the Seiko SKX009J or the Orient Mako 2 Pepsi , Can't bloody pick... apparently the insides are better on the Orient meanwhile the SKX is a classic.

The Seiko is £190 the Orient is £150.

Anyone else have a seamaster 300M? I got one last month and noticed shortly afterwards that the circle at the top of the bezel isn’t dead centred with the 12 mark. It’s an absolutely miniscule imperfection but the more I look at it, the more it annoys me... :p

I’m currently wearing a Tag Link the bezel and strap are quite badly scratched, glass face as good as the day I brought it 15 years ago. I was looking into getting the strap replaced but £800

I can get a second hand perfect condition one for a similar price, anyway, I stumbled over these and thought they looked quite nice, anyone have any experience with them?

I have a bad habit of collecting watches. about 20 odd at the moment. Only 3 nice swiss watches, the rest are Seikos and the like. But my problem is that i change my mind so frequently about what watch i want to buy next, that i never seem to be satisfied.

Not really a watch wearer to be honest but i do have a Seiko if i feel the need to have one on. Had it for about 10 years now and still looks new due to lack of use. :p

A mate of mine recently got a Tag Heuer and while it is a nice watch, i just can't see the point in spending all that money when it does the same job as my moderately cheap watch.

How about instead of just posting random brands in the thread for us to research, you spend 10 mins researching a brand (eg: Google reviews) when you see them. You can then see actual feedback and get an idea of reputation.

Clue: for this brand it isn't good. :)
How about you don’t jump to conclusions and climb down off your high horse Mr Almighty... I did a google search, Trust Pilot came up with excellent reviews, Google 4.4 out of 5 from 1,794 reviews, my question was does anyone on here have any experience with them, I didn’t ask anyone to research what I’d already looked at...

It's not a brand I've ever heard of, but the Miyota quartz movement costs about a tenner to buy without manufacturing connections, so it's nothing of particular quality.

So you're not buying the movement, you're buying the styling and the fit and finish. If you like that look, then go for it. But really, that brand is just going to be one of the stamps a factory has that they apply to the exact same watch that gets given a different brand name, and likely sold for a fraction of the cost if you buy direct from China. So look on the Chinese market places for moonphase quartz watches, and you'll likely see something similar to that for max 50USD. Does 'Loretti' maybe put some work into QC that other ones don't? Who knows. But you are putting money into a 'brand' that isn't really anything but a stamp in a huge factory pumping out the same model that you can find with someone else's stamp on too.

Edit: @Dr House asked about this brand a while back, perhaps he bought one in the end so can share his experiences with you?

Over 4 years on and I'm still loving my Seamaster
The Lume is nice too :)

I still haven't forgiven Omega for discontinuing the wave dial Seamasters in favour of the Submariner style gloss dial. I can forgive them changing the font on the bezel, but not the dial. The black wave dial Seamaster is my all time favourite Omega watch. I keep saying I'll buy a used one, but the price keeps on going up and stopping me.

I haven't routinely worn a watch since I was about 19, but I do own a few Casio ones.

The Mrs has a real thing about me wearing a watch, and also wants me to wear a step tracker - so to pacify her I allowed her to buy me this G-Shock GBA-800 as a present:

https://world.g-shock.com/asia-mea/en/special/gba-800/

I went for the black one and it looks really purposeful. It's also water resistant so I don't have to keep taking it off when I'm doing stuff around the house or outside which is a bonus.

I also have my gold Casio DBC 611G calculator watch:

I also really fancy a red G-Shock but I'm torn between any of the following:

https://www.gshock.com/watches/digital/g7900a-4 - for when I am not climbing Everest

https://www.casio-intl.com/in/en/wat/watch_detail/GA-100B-4A/ - I like the matte finish

https://www.casio-intl.com/asia/en/wat/watch_detail/GA-100VLA-4A/ - I shouldn't like the gold face but I do

http://www.g-shock.com.cn/products/GA-400CX-4A.html - I really like this but I'm not sure I'd be able to find it

https://www.gshock.com/watches/analog-digital/ga110lpa-4a - Like this one too

https://www.casio.com/products/watches/g-shock/ga700-4a - How can you resist a watch that promises "Absolute Toughness"?

Do most of you who buy watches in the UK buy them on 0% finance? Really annoying that I don't have this option where I am, would make watch collecting a hell of a lot easier!
