Hello, over the last couple of years I have become less and less interested in console gaming, and have become very interested in switching over to PC, to the point where I can't ignore it now, however I'm pretty clueless when it comes to PC Specs, so have no clue what desktop PC I should buy, my price range is about £1,500-£1,800.

Yes I'll need a monitor, I wouldn't be up for self building as I wouldn't have a clue what to do if I'm honest, as for the console, I'm currently on a PS4.

Few options, select few of the pre-builds on here but they come with compromises , normally weaker power supply , or send them a list like below which they can build !

Vega 64 which is most powerful from AMD, slightly weaker the .Nvidia gtx 1080, but what makes it great is Freesync Screens are £200 cheaper !
Might of seen Xbox now supports Freesync, not sure if PS4 will , ps5 will though !
Worth a Google to see pros about sync screens

A lot of deals expire after Monday, they normally charge £50-80 to build, so recon if you call up and mention thread they could do it for £1800

And then system will be covered by their build warranty

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,769.21 (includes shipping: £15.30)

Save cash, they could build and install windows 10 without CD key... Means you'd have to buy a key only for £20-30 quid...

Intel version

Personally I'd lower the budget, when I started out I went with £750 it got me something that totally smashed consoles but didn't spend so much that I regretted it, I've slowly been spending more and more on hardware but if you jump into the deepend straight away you may end up regretting it. If you do spend £2000 on hardware at least get yourself a ultrawide 1440p/120hz monitor with G-Sync :)

GTX 1080 with a 8700k would be a great setup.

For a first PC it might be worth sticking to 1080p as you can go for cheaper hardware ;)

Okay so you need help in what to get,

For this kind of money, i'd recommend a 8700 non k processor as you won't be overclocking but you will need to buy a separate cpu cooler because the fan cooler intel gives you is rubbish.

So you don't want to build a pc as you say you would have no clue,

Something like this below,

My basket at Overclockers UK:
  • 1 x OcUK Gaming Gigawattz - Limited Edition Ryzen 5 2600 Gaming PC = £1,348.98
    • Memory:Team Group Vulcan T-Force 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-19200C14 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit - Grey (TLGD416G24
    • Graphics:Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 Gaming RGB 8192MB GDDR5X PCI-Express Graphics Card (GV-N1080G1 GAMING-8
    • SSD Option:Samsung 250GB 860 EVO SSD 2.5" SATA 6Gbps 64 Layer 3D V-NAND Solid State Drive (MZ-76E250B/EU)
    • Storage:Seagate BarraCuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache HDD - *System Stock*
    • Case:phanteks Eclipse P300 Glass Midi Tower Case - Black
Total: £1,363.08 (includes shipping: £14.10)

I like this build. Just be sure to get a decent CPU cooler :) And choose a 1080p capable monitor.
