Asus AiMesh setup/config question

According to step one of the setup guide you use the one with the highest specs.

You appear to have chosen a really expensive way to create a two node mesh network.

Please do report back on how well it works as I don't think it's something many people have tried yet.

You can use any router as the main router, but performance wise it may be better for the highest spec one (AC5300) as the main router anyway since it still needs to act as the central point for all network traffic.

Spec wise I think both routers are identical. one is dual-band (ac88U) and the other is tri-band (ac5300).
I keep reading about backhaul (I would assume this is main node & slave node communication) & dedicating one of the tri-band 5Gs for this task, but I'm not sure as to if it's possible with the dual+tri AiMesh config. Or what roles to assign each of the routers to make it work.
