I recently upgraded my boot drive from an 850 EVO 512GB to a 960 EVO 512GB and while I was expecting performance much higher at least in theory, I get the opposite results!! Is there something wrong in the setup of my 960 EVO?

This shouldn't be the case. I don't suppose you have a different M.2 slot you could test or any way of running different comparative tests?

The other consideration could be that you simply have a faulty module there. A pain in the neck, but if you're concerned it's faulty then perhaps consider looking into claiming warranty.

Did you have raid mode enabled on the 850? You can enable this through the Samsung magician software which increases speeds
