As bad as the prices are for these at default, why are you charging so much more than your competitors?
What happened to pre-discounted for our convenience?
Not talking just a few quid either.

Any deals on the 1080ti @Gibbo ? :)
Doubt it. Not because Nvidia cannot, they probably have huge margins on the 1080Ti at this point, but they won't as it will cannibalise 2080 sales. Had the 2080 been a good 20% ahead of the 1080Ti and priced as it is, then the 1080Ti would have been sub £500 easily right now.

I would be interested in picking up a 1080Ti also if Gibbo could get a deal (a real one) otherwise I have decided to just wait for the 3080Ti and go for that. At least that will be 7nm, bringing a big performance boost and last a lot longer. By then RayTracing will have matured a bit and we may get it working at 4K.

I get the feeling the 20 series will last 12-15 months before being replaced.

Really silly price point when as said above for raw power the 1080 ti released 2 years ago is the same, the new rtx and dlss features are nothing until we actually see some results etc and support.

This cannot be good for retailers i am missing my first generational upgrade due to bad performance and pricing.

Now you lose a purchase entirely unstead if one with a low overhead.

not going to order one and if i was it would be 2080TI

I really like the PALIT cards but the 2 year warranty is terrible for such a expensive product, don't PALIT realise their competitors are offering more warranty but also cheaper or at same price point?

Confused by OCUK pricing on the Asus 2080... it's over £100 cheaper at a certain competitor. In fact most of these cards are SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper elsewhere.

Its strange that i thought the 1080ti was expensive 2 years ago, but now it looks good vfm to me.

Maybe a 2080 at £549 would sell well but not for me this time.
