Samsung and SK Hynix to slow down memory production

According to a Bloomberg report today, Samsung is preparing to decelerate its memory chip production for 2019 in anticipation of a decline in demand. The South Korean manufacturer's move is a double-edged sword as it can either help maintain NAND flash and dynamic random access memory (DRAM) prices or further drive up prices.

So don't expect much drops in RAM or NAND prices next year,as the cartel strikes again.

Oh,and it will affect graphics card prices probably too.

No idea how SK Hynix and Samsung slow down will impact these prices, it would be a sorry state is the more regular 2400MHz 16G kits get back up towards around £200 like they were around six months ago and the 8G kits close to £100.

But for now OcUK have thousands in stock, the pricing is fantastic compared to where others are at.



Of course if the market explodes and channel prices move upwards, we will follow and make more margin, so now whilst the price is good, best it has been for months, fill your boots.

But never fear, there are further shake ups planned for the market next year, too. Micron and Chinese memory fabs are reportedly ramping up production of DRAM memory chips purposely to try and steal market share from market leader Samsung

Do none of the realise that folks just end up spending less on these products if they do this, at this point I have kept my PC on DDR3 for a lot long that I would normally as I cant justify twice the price of some components to upgrade. Also I've also stopped upgrading my phone every two years again cause the products have spiked in price and give me little in the way of reason to pay for the inflated prices. If it wasn't for my Nexus 6's battery being ready to fail fully and Google stopping updates for it I would just keep going with it.

Those are incredible quality in both looks and feel, solid chunks of metal and the design and aesthetics are the best out there, but of course I would say this because the Dark Pro heatspreader was actually designed by myself as I also do some internal projects for TeamGroup.

I shall be working on some new heatspreaders in November with TeamGroup when I go visit their HQ in November this year, those should make an appearance on memory kits in 2020.

TeamGroup for us outsells every other brand, including Corsair and Kingston combined.

Whats DDR4 like these days with buying two 16GB dual channel kits for running 32GB total on a board? I had issues with it the past on DDR3 so I ended up buying a 4x4GB Corsair kit as I couldn't get 2x2x4GB Kits to play nice on the mobo at the registered speed of the DIMMs.

Because normal stuff works just fine with AMD.

We don't stock specific AMD or Intel memory as its just a big con, no need for it, the regular stuff works just fine, yes albeit you might need to set speed/timings manual but it takes all of twenty seconds.
