I'm guessing low supplies so only need a slow burn on sales. I don't complain about pricing but I personally would not spend £300 more for cheap looking strap-on cooler :). Fair dues at £1049 and if people really want one atm then the current price is what they have to pay :).

Are you trying Sli? Would be good to hear how well the new NVlink works although I'm sure that#s WIP at the moment but hopefully will work well in future

It is a bit of a joke, considering I bought the MSI Duke for that price it’s not exactly a basic card.

Hoping to get them in and have a play Friday night but pushed for time at the moment :(

Looks pretty poor, a 1080ti can get 55+ MH/s. The writer of that article obviously isn't an experienced miner. :p

Given the tiny number of cards and the high cost I can't see much effect being made to optimise the 20 series mining performance.

I googled 1080 Ti achieved 55+ MH/s and found developer OhGodACompany which I not heard of it before released tool 5 months ago called OhGodAnETHlargementPill that will help 65% boost on Ethereum mining.

Interesting.

If the tool were used on RTX 2080 Ti and we would see it achieve 80MH/s with current Claymore version 11.9 and 100+MH/s with future versions. :)

Not at all but name wise, they are not associated with the best. I would buy Palit if that was all that was available and at a sensible price.

On the 10 series palit were probably the best cards alongside zotac amp, the coolers were immense.
They were competitively priced as a bonus. To me they put companies like asus to shame, bigger cooler for less money.

Also palit are a bigger brand than asus, they make more cards, but just most of the sales are in asia.

Unfortunately that is used to improve a particular aspect of GDDR5X, a quad data rate mode and the different timings for GSSR5X that GDDR5 or GDDR6 doesn't have.

So there won't be a tool like that for GDDR6 cards.

Unsure if this has already been linked but there is another delay from Nvidia - https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/d...-the-geforce-rtx-2080-ti-further-delayed.html

And people say AMD launches are bad, this is about as bad as it gets. At this point they may as well have postponed the TI launch for a month and just launched the 2080 in september. Some people are getting the TI at preorder prices, others are getting it at hugely inflated prices, the FE preorders seem to be all over the place and people who were told they would get them in September are now looking at mid October. Communication between Nvidia and their UK distributer seems to be non existent with both telling customers to contact the other. OCUK aren't even putting eta dates on the listings as it seems to be pot luck what shows up when, and a lot of cards up for pre-order don't even have ram or core clock speed listed.

But besides that....Nvidia launches "just work" :p
