What is the best site to use to publish max resolution photos to facebook that will show up on my timeline without the client having to click a link to see it ?

Can't you just upload it to Facebook direct? At the highest resolution that Facebook allows?

Even then its not going to be ideal. I'm a bit confused by the rest of the original posters question?

Nope because Facebook massively degrades the photo quality on high res photos at 33mb
I want a drop link that shows the photo and then when people click it will show the max resolution image but not sure what sites do that ?

It doesn't help you much but I'm sure a lot of us would like a workable answer to that.

90% of the people viewing Facebook are doing it via a mobile device. Do you really think anyone wants to see a 33mb image when they click on a thumbnail?

The best way for me to get Facebook to display images in the best quality possible is:
1. Choose the best colour space; for me, Display P3 > Adobe RGB > sRGB. I would go with at least Adobe RGB.
2. Resize to 2048 on the long side. Facebook max is 2048 and it will rezise larger files to that whatever size you upload so do the resize yourself rather than FB's algorithms.
3. Save the photo as .PNG before uploading to Facebook. .PNG preserves more data than .jpg and by giving the Facebook algorithm more data at 2048 without it then resizing it means you can improve the final result.
