Won't he need some sort of adapter cable to get the case lighting to work on a Gigabyte board ? Listing mentions Asus Aura and MSI Mystic Light but not Gigabyte Aorus.

will have to double check the board, same was said with Aorus X470 - but gigabyte had 3 close pin design which Phanteks Halo and Lian Li RGB cables can plug directly into without converter. But other vendors such as MSI and ASUS followed Giabte into doing Digital RGB but they chose the more common spaced 3 pin design ( 4 pin with a pin removed). some boards of Gigabyte now follow this like the X470 Ultra/5 and others dont, like the 7.... haha

looks like aorus Master uses same Spaced 3 pin design as ASUS/MSI for this one so should work

also, Gigabyte allows you to switch between 12v and 5v
