Hi guys,

I'm looking to go away for a 4 nights at the end of November to get a few days cycling in. Ideally after something all inclusive with good bike hire options, as little hassle as possible basically!

Aside from Mallorca and Tenerife, any other suggestions?

A mate of mine went to Sierra Nevada recently (Spain, not America!) and had a great time. Should be cheap to get to and there are hire options around. Try http://www.sierranevada.cc/

Without trying to do too much, I fancy a new country. Anything outside of the norm, Malta looks great but not favourable for road cyclists.

Just got back from a week in Mallorca. It is very quiet this time of year, most hotels and a lot of the shops are shut at this point. A few hire shops should be open still but double check before you go if you decide there. Not many tourists around this time of year at all. That said though, most days were 20c with just one day of drizzle, which coincided nicely with an easier day. Would have thought Tenerife would be a bit warmer this time of year.

I know a guy who hires bikes and does guides around Lanzarote and another who does it in Xàbia/Jávea and is still ticking over at this time of year.

My boss was over recently and says it is lovely, less touristy than Mallorca and less windy then Lanzarote.

I recommend Morocco, I spent a week cycling around the interior of Morocco and around the Atlas mountains. Most of the roads are new or resurfaced and are virtually empty of any cars

Going to Gran Canaria in a few weeks time and my wife has very sportingly agreed to me hiring a bike for 3 days. Anyone got any good routes out of Maspalomas/Playa Del Ingles? Nothing too long (less than 120km) but I love me some big climbs.

I've got some but you'll probably need to add me on Strava to see them.

Cheers man, I can see enough of those to be able to copy the routes. Some epic looking rides there, especially the Valley of Tears one. Trying to work out if I have the legs for that at this time of year!

Valley of the Tears is epicly tedious but yeah... definitely ride it once.

Sa Calobra descent is much more technical and if you get a free run is immense! I've never gone down to Soller from Puig only up it! I love the climb up from this direction!

You're missing out, probably one of the better descents I've ridden on the island. Smooth, fast and flowing and limited risk of buses ruining everything.
