As VideoCardz reports, it is interesting to see that the '2060' features the RTX branding, rather than being named the GTX 2060, in line with previous rumours and chitter-chatter. The RTX branding prefix would indicate that even this GPU will feature RT Cores and possibly even Tensor cores.

RTX 2060 is about half as fast as the RTX 2080, and approaching the old GTX 1070 in performance terms in this game, playing at 4K HQ

I don't get the reason for calling this class of card an RTX..

It's not like it's going to be capable of 1080p with RT on, even on low, at playable frame rates in BF5 for example.

DLSS, along with a very competitive price, sounds like the only hope for the 2060.

With so much 1060 stock to shift, I reckon nVidia will withhold the 2060 to the very last minute anyway.

This gives you a rough indication of the current midrange cards against a GTX1070:

The leaked score indicates its 10% slower than a GTX1070. If it is under £300,that would mean 10% faster than an RX590 at least(since there are no reference RX590 cards),and probably lower power consumption. If it is above £300 then its a bit of a fail,as you might as well get a GTX1070 as they have gone down as low as £300.

Ray-tracing won't even enabled on cards lower than the 2070 afaik, it runs badly enough on a 2080. No SLI either.

OFC it will be way overpriced like all the current geforce cards. I suspect it will be approaching current Vega prices, making it a poor choice.
