So I've powered on my home lab machine. Which was running Centos 7.5. It's gone and installed all the new packages and installed centos 7.6.

After it boots up the desktop is corrupted. Major graphics corruption. I can't use the computer.

I have an old AMD 6450 in this computer which was running fine under Centos 7.5.

Do I need to install the AMD GPU drivers in the future?

I can see in the logs Radeon driver crashes.

It's also complaining about not recognising the headers for the device.

I've rescued my files. I'm going to try a reinstall and see if that fixes things. (It didn't)

Or I'll try installing the AMD drivers.

Not sure my device is supported.

It's a Radeon 6450.

It was running fine using the generic Linux drivers.

The Centos forums are awash with people with display issues.
