DNS, Nameserver question

help please:

i used to host a site for someone, on the hosting was some DNS settings in CPANEL

she has since changed the nameservers on her domain away from my hosting, but saying that my hosting in silll effecting her DNS settings

she created a wix site and the only place that pointed to wix was via my hosting/cpanel as a DNS entry

im telling her now that the nameservers are not pointing at my hosting my settings have no effect anymore

she is saying the only place that points to wix is my settings , and the site still goes to wix so my settings must still be in effect

Is it a recent change? Nameserver changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate.

Have you tried using a DNS lookup tool to check that she has actually changed the nameservers?

Tell her you don’t support it any more, the contract is ceased so can’t help.

Let her deal with it somewhere else. It won’t be your host at all.

This. I think it's quite cheeky if she's taken her business elsewhere to be going back to you for support.

If your contract with her has finished, I'd point her towards some help on checking what the nameservers are, and then advise her to take it up with her new hosting company.
