Is it fairly quiet under load? I'm expecting it isn't too bad.

Inaudible in general use, when it's under big strain it's a nice purr, like a powerful lion purring away xD.

I needed a blower to dump the heat out my my MATX case. Thinking about an NZXT AIO setup near summer with rear exhaust. Keeps temps low and no noise under big load.

Went and gots an EVGA 2080 OC Gaming as an upgrade to my venerable 980 Ti.

Already seeing doubled 3DMark graphics scores, before any overclocking. Also I wasn't expecting my CPU scores to go up 14% too? :)

Urrrggghhhh!!!

Two different 2080 designs in SLi?

My OCD combined with a windowed case, could never permit such an aesthetic abomination. :p

Well, what do you know, I ordered myself a Palit Gamerock 2080 today, will have it on Monday. At £679 you can't really go wrong. My Palit Gamerock 1080 has been an incredible performer and will be going up for sale.

This week I bought a new monitor, AOC AG271QG, 500GB SSD and 16GB RAM. Now the 2080. Guess I'm ready for The Division 2 :)

Heya guys,

Also new to this forum and proud owner of a MSI GeForce RTX 2080 GAMING X TRIO. Arrived yesterday and after installing it yesterday evening immediately started OCing. Will post photo's when I return from work again.

Managed to get a stable OC with a memory clock @ 8000mhz (+1000) and core only +40. Will run some benchmark and post some photo's of the setup once I'm home.

Does anyone know if the cards are still being shipped with Micron memory? Checked GPU-Z and mine showed Samsung, and the +1000 went without any problem. No artifacts at all and will continue the push once I return home, since I ran out of time yesterday to test any higher values then the current OC.

Unfortunately another MSI RTX 2080 Duke OC with it's 31.4cm lenght won't be compatible at the bottom PCIE slot for SLi, since a Fan mounting/HDD bracket is in the way, and I'm not really keen on cutting the case to make it fit. So I went for a shorter graphics card, the Palit is just 29.2cm long so it fits. Also since my motherboards is black/red themed I think the palit card with blend in nicely even with the black, gunmetal grey MSI.

I still have to get the card and everything else installed and tested. I haven't got around doing that yet, I haven't really felt like building anything in the last week or so... too much on my mind :(

Took the dive, bought a EVGA 2080 ti XC Ultra, I upgraded to a ROG PG279Q (1440p 144hz) and gave my old 60hz 1440p IPS panel to my wife, but her 1060 isn't cutting the new resolution from 1080p for more games. I really wanted the FTW3 edition, but the max length of card I can fit in my case (Fractual define meshify c) with the X62 AIO is 270-280mm

So, I figured I'd finally buy the 2080 ti for my self and give her my EVGA 1080 ti SC2.

How is the standard thermal application on these cards? I've a bunch of GPU thermal pads and arctic silver left over so if the factory application is pants, I'll replace before I get gaming.

Usually its dolloped on like a dog with the runs had a squirt on it. Though not had a recent EVGA card so may well be better these days.

I'm tempted. If they bundled Metro with the card I could pull the trigger.

Would be expensive tho as probably should also buy a new PSU as well as mine is I think is from 2012 but still going strong.

Hmmm, I'll run factory for a month and see how it goes, then when I'm bored one evening I'll clean it up and re apply and report back on my findings. It doesn't arrive until Tuesday (bank holiday this Monday).
