Pascal + RTX = 0

Having said that I have seen RTX running in BFV and to be honest the extra cost incurred can not be justified on a bang for buck basis.

Yes RTX is nice but it should not add £300 to £400 to the cost of a high end card like the 2080 Ti.

Next year when more games use Ray Tracing, it would be worth buying an RTX card. But by then, the 21xx cards will be out. So the 20xx cards will be obsolete anyway.
