This isnt really much of a project but more of a before and after.
I decided that my pc needed some attention since the case has only been opened twice since 2011 to add a SSD and replace the GPU.
It has never been cleaned and the coolant has never been replaced.

So i treated it to some new bits to replace the old 2600k sandybridge system.
Intel Core i7-8700K 3.7GHz
Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Ultra Intel Z390
Team Group Xtreem "8Pack Edition" 16GB DDR4 4000MHz
Samsung 1TB 860 EVO SSD
Western Digital Blue 1Tb M.2

As you can see it was quite bad and the cable management was terrible, and yes those fans are attatched with string.

Looks much tidier now though.
Probably going to replace the pump since its gotten quite noisy now.

That first pic looks like a palace compared to a mates pc I was working on yesterday, he’s a very heavy smoker, every grill and even the heat sink was choked in a brown layer of dusty nicotine.

Good job, it looks a lot better.

Crikey, that first pic is pretty grim.

Great improvement and awesome upgrade my man. If I were you I’d be putting in a rad at the front and slapping a block on that gpu. What card is it?

The fans on string made me chuckle, did you change it?

Always nice to have a clean out.

Is there a reason you didn't route the long PSU cables behind in the cable management void and then out through the top? It looks like you should have enough slack. It would be the icing on the cake.
