Aero15x is tickling me
Two models stand out to me, both come with comprimises.
Strix Scar II GL704GW NVIDIA RTX 2070, 16GB, 17.3" 144Hz 3ms, I7-8750H Gaming Laptop
GT75 NVIDIA RTX 2070 GDDR6, 16GB, 17.3" 144Hz 3ms G-SYNC, I7-8750H Gaming Laptop
I'm actually liking the Asus more. It looks more refined, it features a full blown 2070 and has the 1TB SSD as the data drive. However, it doesn't have Thunderbolt 3.
The MSI looks more hardcore, which is odd as it features the lesser Max Q. Cooling might be better however and it might be quieter. I like the look of the keyboard too. I've also currently got an MSI and love it.
Decisions.. Probably need to see some reviews.
So reviews are starting to come in for RTX/Max-q models - the 2070 max q seems to be ~15% faster than the 1070 max q and about on par with a desktop 1070. Not quite what I was hoping for but still interested.
so pointless to get a rtx laptop then! Here's a standard RTX 2070 notebook firestrike result.
Let's look at the graphics only score as this laptop has a desktop CPU:
This is not the Max-Q GPU
That's just about on par with my old AORUS X5V6 GTX 1070 with an overclock:
https://www.3dmark.com/fs/14356419
RTX 2070 GPU score 19,353
GTX 1070 (OC) GPU score 19,510
That's hugely disappointing!

So a 1060 vs 2060 is bigger difference then 1070/1080 vs 2070/2080 ?Yes, if you already have a GTX 1070 or 1080 notebook.
No, if if you have a 1060 or old gen notebook.
The newest AORUS 15 X9 with RTX 2070 (hmmmm), 144Hz IPS display (upgrade), i7-8750H (upgrade), 512GB PCI-e SSD (twice the size of the X5V7's SSD), and thinner bezels for a lower price, £2,099.99 (X5V7 retail was £2,249.99) seems like a great deal. https://www.overclockers.co.uk/aoru...z-intel-i7-8750h-gaming-laptop-lt-03a-au.html

What about the 2050 ?
