Specialist broker for the Leaf, comparison sites for the Golf. Call up current insurer and ask them to beat cheapest on comparison (by 10%).
I've seen you drive and any insurance company giving you insurance is looking for bankruptcy.

Got some shocking good prices from Direct Line last year. Now all my personal insurance is handled by them. Will keep an eye on the renewals though as I'm sure they'll creep up. Home & contents + two cars, all easily accessible through one web portal.
I use comparison sites, call the top three, ask for better, speak to specialist brokers.
Then whoever gives me best quote or best price and best service combination, I then pay for in full.
The SVR cost me £780 this year, M3 is circa £450 with a declared value much higher than book and the Clio was about £200.
First year ever that my renewal has gone down....just not by much.
Ended up using Compare Meerkats and getting a £200 cheaper quote with Quote Me Happy.

Comparison website usually, go for the lowest and pay by instalments over the year.
But might try a few tricks in this thread this year as my insurance is coming to an end next mth.
Mind you living in a part of London that’s rampant for car crime usually makes me pay well over the odds for my insurance. Funnily enough in the 4 yrs I’ve had my car, it hasn’t been touched.
i changed 2 of my policies over to them. they seem to be doing really good deals these days.
Thanks @kindai I've contacted them based on this comment and they’ve quoted me for the M3 and Evoque on a multi car policy around £250 cheaper than I could find elsewhere!Plug details into comparison sites, ring pace ward and pay them because theyre still hundreds of quid cheaper
