Well, that's for you to say, £11 Million would be better used in the public purse don't you think ?

Tax dodgers are not only sticking two fingers up to the Taxman they are sticking two fingers up to you, the brainless sucker who pays tax.

He's not dodging tax, your wife doesn't pay inheritance, when she dies, her estate will pay it, or she'll have spent it all.
Either way it'll go into the economy.

Unless his widow goes on a massive spending spree it will probably still get taxed under IHT eventually anyway. Normally it's just a deferral of the tax.

he already paid tax on it when he earned it.

That's the problem, he didn't, he always got paid in cash and at the time of his trial for tax evasion he had £300k in suitcases, he avoided
paying tax all his life.

He's a comedy legend, but let's not forget his stinginess, his love of money, and greed in amassing huge amounts of money
yet never spending any , he stayed in the same house all his life.

If he had paid IHT, it would have been just over £11m from a £27m fortune.

In 2016, Amazon paid £15m tax on revenues of £16.5bn. Now that’s dodging!

Or you know using the UK's own rules to pay tax... just like Mr Dodd did.

The government can legislate at any time to force the likes of Jersey to stop being havens or to make it so tax is paid irrespective of residence.
