They're more known for their motherboards over here than their gpu's

@LtMatt Any chance you could give the driver team a nudge please as ReLive with the R7 keeps recording at 35-45FPS and not the selected 60FPS, Makes recording game footage a bit annoying.

Have you tried using AVC/HEVC codec?

Yup.

When I record with AVC the frame rate is 35-45 and when I record with HEVC the frame rate is at 30.

Guess I'll have to start using a 3rd party recorder until this is sorted.

Strange i do not see this behaviour in the ReLive recorded videos i posted earlier using AVC 1080P60FPS.

1080P recording works fine, 4K records at 58FPS but 3440x1440 always tends to record at 35-45 which is annoying as that's my native res.

Relive is causing stuttering on my system, did not happen on my Vega 64. And not having 60 stable fps either, some videos 52 some 55.

is relive any good for recording i've always just used obs and left my cpu to record/stream, would I get better results doing it with the amd software?

Not really known for GPUs in the US either, think I saw a few last time I was in Sing. I've owned a few Asrock mobos over the past 10 years or so and they're quality, especially the Fatal1ty line.

I had 1 years ago for my opteron, first boot a cap caught fire on the board. Got it replaced same thing second time around. Ended up binning it and buying a different board.

Yeah as good as Shadowplay on the Nvidia side, Only thing is lately the quality seems to have gone down a bit which will hopefully be addressed soon.

Interesting nobody has attempted a bios flash from the instinct board this gpu is supposedly salvaged from. Not even sure if it would be possible to flash it as the instincts afaik don't have any video outputs?

In my system (Vega 64 Liquid sitting at the bottom of my case but just out of shot)

Had quick go at undervolting and managed to complete Timespy Extreme stock clocks with the voltage running at 0.975v, fan speed set at maximum of 50% and GPU temp didn't go over 57c.

Edit

1802/1000Mhz undervolted at 0.961mv appears game stable. 0.951mv crashed.

That's a conclusion I'd be very interested in seeing. AMD has a long history of releasing cut-down GPUs that can easily be opened up to a full-fat GPU through bios.

Anyone tested the new driver release? Patch notes jsut say the same "Support for Radeon VVI" no bug/oc fixes yet?

I would but I dont want to brick the card and have to start bridging chips and stuff trying to bring it back to life. Waiting for somebody else to try first.

I think because there's nothing in the bios for driving the display ports it wouldn't work but we can only wonder
