I always thought I wanted a Seamaster until I got one and just couldn't get on with the bracelet. Just didn't like it. Sold it and now have a Speedmaster and love it. Don't think I'll ever get rid of it, it's such a classic piece. No homage even close to matches it.

I still haven't scratched my Panerai itch, and now the wife wants to build a ******* house that 30th present I'm owed for 3yrs back will end up being my 40th no doubt. I'll have to sneak one in when she's distracted. I'd also love an IWC Portuguese as a dress watch thats a bit more special than my Longines Masters. That will always hold sentimental value, as it was the watch my wife first bought me when we arrived in Basel, but it's not IWC special! :p

Just put the MilTat super oyster bracelet on my Ray 2.

Its a big improvement on the original but Im not going to lie I was expecting more its a bit rattly still haha I suppose can not complain for the money.

Just need a coin edge bezel and ceramic insert next. Not sure on doing the crystal just yet until this scratches as I don't think sapphire looks any different does it?

They are but interest free over 24 months means the wife might kill me less than spunking 5k outright :D

I like the 352 personally, although I know it's anti PAM for being bracelet! TBH I love any of the chocolate sandwich dials.
Get a 351! I have one, love it. Don't think I'll ever part with it. It's everything that Panerai does well - tobacco sandwich dial, gold hands, 1950's 44mm Luminor Ti case, 24mm strap. Perfection IMO.

I just got the Seiko SKX011J today, I was really surprised the rubber strap that comes with it was very comfortable, This Nato I put on it doesn't look to good, I have ordered a Strapcode Angus Bracelet for it, I thought I was going to mod this watch with black hands and another bezel etc but in person this watch looks fantastic I will be keeping it as is maybe a new movement down the line.

What do you guys use, if anything, for scratches/abrasions on stainless steel watches?

I have an Omega Speedmaster Mark 2 (gorgeous) and the clasp gets abrasions from day to day use at work, presumably bumping on the desk. Also I clonked it underneath a table at a casino and it has a small scratch on the top

I'm told it adds to the character, but I prefer things pristine......
