Found a good deal on a system power 9 600w and haven't ever really looked into their products before.

Have had a TX750 That has been running for nearly 10 years so not had to even think about it! But it's probably getting to a point where it's had a good innings

Going to be running a clocked Ryzen 1600 and gtx980ti....guessing 600 be enough?

Cheers

Generally, overpriced psu's with warranties that don't match their competitors. The system Power 9 is a low end budget psu built by FSP. It has dual 12v rails with 576w available on them. It's bronze rated, has fixed cables and only a 3 year warranty. I would rather pay extra for a quality gold rated psu such as the Bitfenix Formula Series 650w or Antec Earthwatts Pro 650w.

Good PSUs with quality components tend to last with high probability.
Unlike lower quality component equipped ones like half of BeQuiets...

If you can afford GTX980 Ti price level graphics card, then PSU with proper components (and reasonable warranty) shouldn't be too much.

Ten year warranty PSUs are £10-15 more.

ive had an older lowish watt (400w i think) bequiet go poof and die before, that being said the system was running fairly close to the rated wattage ( about 320w under full load), but still it died with a puff off smoke rather than safely shutting itself down as it should.
Ive had other bequiet psu that are fine tho.

THanks again for all of the replies everyone,

At this moment I have moved over the TX750 after doing some load testing on it and giving it a good clear out. It is happily ploughing away in the new machine and hasn't missed a beat, voltages are not drooping and are holding up perfectly across the board.

Guess it is one of those times where if it isn't broken.....don't fix it :)
