[Correction] Acer ConceptD CP3271K P – A new 27" 4K monitor with 144Hz

[Correction 13/4/19] My sincerest apologies, but we made a big mistake with the original news piece for this display. Thanks to a very confusing naming scheme from Acer, we believed this to be a 32″ sized screen, which would have made it the first 32″ 4K @ 144Hz monitor announced. In fact, the naming scheme seems to reflect that it is in the “CP3 series”, with the “27” in the middle signifying the model size! So this is actually just another 27″ sized model with 4K and 144Hz. Honestly, who starts their monitor naming scheme with “CP32″ when it’s not a 32″ model?! Acer going against pretty much every other monitor in the market! Massive apologies for getting anyone’s hopes up. I guess the wait for a 32” 4K @ 144Hz continues

Oh nice catch. That size/resolution/refresh rate is a sweet spot so this should sell extremely well.

But it seems like every decent display these days... I wouldn't expect it anytime soon.

Nice, €2099 isn't the cheapest but it's in the prosumer rather than specialist price range which is a good start.
With a little luck things will start to filter down over the next few years.

i'm really sorry guys, but due to a very misleading and confusing naming scheme from Acer, this isn't actually a 32" sized model at all! it's another 27" 4K @ 144Hz

Definitely. Puzzling why there has been so few 32" 4K monitors given how much more suited it is at that size. Instead they're leap frogging to 43". Odd.

Ya for some reason the panel manufacturers think there is no market for a 32" 4K 120Hz+. Which couldn't be further from the truth.
