Maybe spend a bit less on the mouse & keyboard pad and get a K70 or something?

K70s are a fair bit more though. I really would recommend just getting an OCUK mousepad, they are great. I have had mine 6 years and its still great, better than any of the 'named brand' ones that I've used. Saves you a few quid which could be put towards the K70. I have a K70 and I love it and can highly recommend it if the budget can be made to fit.

In acme's chair.
I had one of those mouses, after about 2 years of use the spindle on the scroll wheel broke rendering it fairly useless. Not sure if this is a common problem or not but I will be getting a different brand of mouse next time round. I was quite disappointed for a £65 (at the time) mouse, when I've never had that happen to any mouse in the past, including cheap cheap ones.

I've used the mouse and k70 for 3 years with no issues.

Mice in particularly are very subjective. I recommend going to a local PC World and having a feel on them all to see what feels best for you.

I bought the above and swapped the Corsair mat for a generic £18 XXL mat.

Looking forward to the RBG goodness :D

I am upgrading from a old Dell laptop so I feel it should be a nice upgrade.
