After a bit of help guys. A friends son would like a gaming PC and has a budget of £500 (PC only, no peripherals or monitor needed). I'm a little out of the loop on bang-for-buck components.
He wants to play (and stream) fortnite like every other teenager, there are no other requirements. Anybody able to recommend a build please?
Thanks :)

Suggest a better motherboard, while recognizing that it's a difficult budget and already over it. That B450M-DS3H is notorious for throttling 2600s and other issues.

Two people on same thread with issues, both have B450M-DS3H and 2600 CPU, both end up changing board to fix issues

Mortar would be best Micro-ATX choice for the budget:

You should actually get 4 free games (two with CPU and two with GPU) so if you are able to sell two, or all, then could get some money back. Each bundle seems to be going for around £40. https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/the-division-2-and-world-war-z.18853936/
