Hi there,

Looking to put my trusty old 2600K rig out to pasture, and get a nice shiny to replace it.

From what I gather, there are some compatability issues between different Ryzen mobos and ram.

Want to keep the build cost down as low as possible, but will need to include a few must haves. Will be stuck with 1080p for a few months while saving for a better monitor.

CPU - Ryzen 2700X
RAM - 16GB and hopefully at 3000mhz?
Mobo - That can take 3000mhz ram, if that's something to be concerned with.
GPU - RTX 2060 or 2070 (Or an AMD offering?)
Hard Drive - A new 500gb SSD. (I already have plenty of storage drives)
PSU - Would this need to be Gold rated?

Would also be good to know what the price to build it is. I've not done it for years.

Cheers

if your after ryzen, July.. Computex is start of June and ryzen 3000 and x570 will be show cased. Navi should make an apprentice and hopefully 2060-70 level with lower costs

Computex seems to cover technical aspects, with actual product line up release is in E3.

WD Blue 3D is one of the best priced SSDs.

Though prices could change in few weeks.

If 3 year warranty is enough there are some little bit cheaper.
For some extra synthetic benchmarketing performance WD Blue SN NVMe looks really well priced.
Real world game loading time differences are just... not real:

Seasonic Focus Plus Gold is where bang meets the buck and comes with 10 year warranty.

Bitfenix Formula would be more budget oriented choise, with fixed cables and half the warranty.
