Syncing data between Xbox One and Xbox 360?

I have an Xbox One which my son plays Terraria on when he comes over, and he has an Xbox 360 at home which he also plays Terraria on. He wants to be able to play with his world and character here and then when he gets home play on the same world and character and so on, so he is always playing on the same world and with the same character no matter which console he is on...is this possible?

I have a single Xbox Live profile which is on both consoles, will Terraria pick up his character when it starts as the data is stored on the cloud I think? But is the world stored on the cloud also?

When you select character or world, move down to empty and press RB and it will say download world or character from the cloud. I am guessing the xbox one version auto uploads to the cloud, you may have to manual upload when using the 360 not sure.
