Hi all, can I ask for some recommendations on any detailers in the southwest of England/South Wales area? Getting a new (used) car probably this Friday and want to do a proper clean and a coating of some sort to protect the paintwork.

Have you had a look on detailing world forum?

Does look alright!

The front bumper has a lashing of stone chip's which has caused minor paint flaking so that annoys me , but otherwise it looks good for its age and mileage I'd say.

The wax is hard to buff off but well worth the effort for year long wear. Just don't let it sit for too long before buffing else you're in for a world of arm pain :p

Just gave my car a good clean down and notices a few little dead/dull spots. Would this be able to be machine polished out? Or does or look like the kinda mark getting under the paint? Noticed a few on the rear of the car.
Thinking of getting the car ceramic coated but don't want to waste money if the paint needs a bit of a touch up.
Hopefully the pictures show it well enough its difficult on a shiny surface and overcast sun.

Carbon Black really does look mint  (How did you do the GIF?)

It was car cleaning day for me too

Foam, wash, Super Resin Polish, Fast Glass, Aerospace 303, Megs Endurance Tyre Gel. Tomorrow I'll give a quick rinse, dry and add the collinite (not enough time for that today) followed by the Meg's hybrid ceramic wax. Then I'll likely repeat on the Mrs car on the Weekend.

After the clean I used some of this

on the shiny topped steering wheel

Did the gear stick and handbrake leather too. I've done one conditioning pass so far and the results are noticeable, you can do three in 48 hours as recommended on the bottle so I'll repeat the next 2 days and post a shot once done.

Picked up my new car last week after driving a **** heap for the last year and so it was time to think about cleaning again.

All I had in the shed was some SRP and Sonax BSD for now.

Ordered a new snow foam lance, some Magnifoam and the AG Polar Seal that really intrigues me. Need to start building the collection again :D

What would people recommend that can be kept in the car for removing bird poo when you are out and about. Just removed some poo-crete with the water laden kitchen roll method but was wondering if there was something handy than didn't rely on access to a tap.

Results are decent in general. I think I could have been more aggressive with the cleaning if the top right section, I'll perhaps have another go this week with a brush to help get some of the oils out. The perforated sections came out nice though and the wheel feels noticeable more supple/less slippery in hand.
