Not long to wait then... what's your prediction for price?

Btw I almost think RTX is irrelevant in 2019. Neither card is really good enough for it, so for many RTX will be a non-factor. AMD have said this themselves, iirc.

Well it's still one feature Nvidia has so it's only fair to consider it if they are the same price.

The RX5700XT probably starts at £400 to £425 to say they undercut the RTX2070 and the cut down RX5700 will probably will compete with the RTX2060 and be slightly cheaper.

The GPU market is just boring and overpriced.

Assuming its RTX2070 performance its gonna need to be sub £400, especially if Nvidia drop their price which sounds like possibly they will to the £400 area.

Nvidia overcharged for last 9 months for great profits and now can reduce their prices accordingly (but not likely by much) just to stick it to AMD.

Its great to see AMD fight back in the cpu market but their gpus seem to have almost stood still in the last 2 years or maybe im been a bit harsh?

Not at all. In the mid-range (where I buy), the whole industry has stood still for years, now.

The upper tiers and cutting edge have moved on at the cost of, well, extra cost! But the mid-range is still offering the same perf for the the same price as 3-5 years ago...

I can see it being around the £500 for the top model, £400 price point may get me to bite

The RX 5700 XT chip if ~275 sq.mm is smaller than the RV790 which AMD had sold for as low as $190.

£500 has no connection whatsoever neither with the reality nor with the product positioning.

Forgive me for my ignorance im very much a black n white dirty casual, my knowledge runs out at MHZ And Vram.. What has (I assume you're referring to die size) got to do with it?

Genuine question, I'm not trying to be funny or anything..

Dormanstown.
HDMI 2.0 rather than 2.1 will be disappointing.
One could say it's not aimed at 4K gaming, but if it's better than a Vega 64 (Even slightly) then it's got the grunt, or else one would be stating AMD have only one 4K capable GPU.

What confuses me is that if the 5700 is supposed to compete with the 2070, then are we saying the 5700XT competes with the 2080? which isn't that what the Radeon VII does? If so does this replace the VII?

Or does it sit between those two?

Hmmm

EDIT: Unless AMD showed us the 5700XT competing with the 2070 before and the 5700 competes against the 2060?

Just passing thoughts here. We find out in 1 hour.

The $500 dollar price tag only makes sense if AMD have something faster than a 2070 and Nvidia supposedly dropping the 2080 to $500. We shall see soon hopefully.

I didnt even realise there was a possible XT variant til that leak slide. Hopefully if real the 5700 can compare to RTX2070 and 5700XT compare to RTX2080 (probably not)

And God they need to get rid of the blower :(
