I haven’t seen actual direct sunshine in about 4 days
Huh, we're right at the bottom of the eleven year cycle now. Where does 35 years come into play?get used to it .. it's here for the next 35 yrs at least ..
solar minimum ....
You can see my natural skin colour. I'm pure white under that tan!olive skinned
No more rain please, last couple of days I've been watching the Chinooks going back and forth trying to plug the burst riverbank at Wainfleet which is around 5 miles away. Hundreds evacuated there but as usual if it's not happening down south it's deemed unimportant

Opinions do vary as to what cycle 25 will bring but we're not out of 24 yet! I still don't get where the 35 year comment come from though. The projection is for the next solar cycle to be the quietest for a very long time.
EDIT: Though seems some differing opinions on that.
theres the 10-14 yr cycle the theres the 400-500 yr cycle .. the sun gets hotter (1960-1998) then it go's into a minimum ..Huh, we're right at the bottom of the eleven year cycle now. Where does 35 years come into play?
!
I'm not a fan of the rain, but I'm glad it's only been 10C-16C this June. June 2018 and June 2017 were 8-week-long heat waves of 30+ C and that got old pretty quickly. At least if it's 10C and you're too cold then you can just put on a coat. If it's 30C and you're down to 1 layer (or in office clothes), then you're stuffed.
When I am night fishing and it rains I sleep like a baby lolI love a bit of heavy rain, particularly when I’m about to sleep
I didn't realise people had been studying the sun and logging temperatures long enough to establish 1000 year cycles.theres the 10-14 yr cycle the theres the 400-500 yr cycle .. the sun gets hotter (1960-1998) then it go's into a minimum ..
last one was Maunder Minimum 1645 to 1715.
theres also a 1000 yr cycle
