Good point. Last post was the 5th May which is quite a long time for a fairly regular poster. Hope all is well with him after he has a few health scares in the last year.

Housey is fine, he has just decided to not post on the forum much if at all any more.

So some "real-world" costs coming for me soon.

£1600-£2k on a clutch.
£600 for a new throw-out bearing
£30 for a seal
+6-9 hours labor to fit it all.

In addition
£200 for a replacement hydraulic accumulator.
+3 hours labor.

I was just thinking the other day where Housey is, he's one of the better posters here.

@Gibbo next time you speak to him please tell him that the random man from the internet wishes him well :)

What are the labour rates?

A mate of mine owns an RS6 with the same engine and he's actually found that going to Lamborghini for some parts is cheaper than going to Audi, bit odd

Depends where you go, while I would like to use Lichos for the trust, they dont have the gear needed to reset the clutch sensors (i will obviously ask if they can get hold of it, but its a pretty expensive bit of kit)

But around £90 an hour expected.

Was trying to do the maths in my head, using that as a number so I wasn't far off :D
