I've had my eye on PUBG for a while but I don't know of I could get into Battle Royale. Tried the rest of them and despise this looting and even more looting. While it looks fun seeing good players on twitch...

As for Squad, it was another I had my sights set on but I've been told some games can take up to a few hours. That's great if life events don't get in the way of those two hours. Like the dog wanting out or to go a walk when it's whining at you.
Try replacing dog with kids and then see where your gaming interruptions go :D

Is there much of an OcUK presence on Squad?

Tempted to try it, but unless there's a good number of people online every night who are going to be on Discord there isn't going to be any point.

Also wary that i've fallen out of love with gaming again the last few months and keep buying games in the hope it'll relight the fire, but none of them ever do :(

With regards to the sales, I miss the good old days :(

Not sure about the OCUK presence, but you dont really need to use discord for this game - loads of people use the mic in-game.

Ah fair, would be good to get an OcUK squad together though :)

The skirmish mode mentioned in the official thread sounds a lot more like what I’m after rather than the 3/4 hour long battles with vehicles, is there a lot of servers supporting it?

Another weak sale. Not buying anything. Couple of games on my wishlist are on discount, but like 30% or something silly. No thanks. Used to be 75% off in the past. Got money sitting in my steam account unspent too.

Just bought Quake 2 for £2 as I couldn't be bothered to find my old CD. I hardly had a look in though as my son got addicted to it. He laughed at it to start with because the graphics are so poor. But then couldn't stop playing :)

Anyone have Far Cry on steam? and has it working...

Ive got Far Cry on Steam & it works fine for me, running on Win 10 Pro ( 1809 ), 8350K @ 5GHz, 32Gb DDR4, Asus GTX1070, & X AE-5, every thing maxed out & hardware sound, no issues other than it needs modding as it hasn't aged well graphically speaking, which is no surprise given its 15 yrs old now. :p

I've wasted so much money over the years on Steam but I think I've finally cracked it. Games which I've played and loved on console, be it PS2/3/4/Xbox 360/Xbox One, I re-bought again and spent a small fortune doing so to play at higher res/frame rate on PC.

But I've never played any of them. Going all the way back to Project Eden, GTA III, Vice City on PS2, I bought the PC versions and they've never been downloaded. This applies to sooooooo many games of the 400-odd games I've bought. So I've got to stop this double- and even triple-dipping (GTA V on PS3, PS4 and PC) because ultimately it has been costly and pointless.
