Any TalkTalk users using their own router ?

Just signed up to TalKTalk due to a very good deal.

When using their supplied router no issue.

When using my own router as per the documentation, I get an internet connection for about ten minutes then it cuts out, with my router seeing they are rejecting the credentials when trying to connect to the WAN.

TalkTalk support refusing to help unless I use their router even though 3rd party is supported and the error is coming from their side..

Anyone got it working ?

What sort of connection?

What router are you trying to use?

As per what documentation?

What settings have you entered?

Most ISPs will refuse to help with third-party routers, and I can't blame them. If their router works properly then the problem isn't coming from their side.

Make sure you've set vlan to 101.

I've been using the TP-Link WD9970 v2 since the day my TalkTalk VDSL connection went live. As @PiKe said, you need to set the VLAN ID to 101, and I think you have to use PPPoE.

Unless things have changed TalkTalk don't use PPPoE for VDSL. Just use DHCP.

Been using my own router for over 2 years with TT with absolutely no issues, Just got the ASUS GT-AX11000 ROG router and having no issues there either
