I found myself justifying the price of a 2080TI the other day.. cold sweats afterwards

I was attempting to be objective but I see it is wasted on the likes of you!You can disagree but the constant blaming AMD for poor price market and stagnant progression is pretty neanderthal like. Far more factors involved than just one other competitor.

Well the 2080ti is 30% faster - so it’s not pointless but it means the 2080ti needs a massive price cut
Have you seen AMD tdp? Doesn’t the Radeon 7 pull 300w which the 2070 Super now beats?
Also Nvidia has overstated the TDP as seen in yesterday’s reviews both the 2060 super and 2070 super draw less peak power than the quoted TDP

I thought the UW res would push the card more than normal 1440p but it seemed not, was cpu limited (with both my 8700k and 8600k @ 5Ghz).
Even thought the Ti has nigh-on 50% more cuda shaders than the 2080 it just doesn't get to flex its muscles that often, which is a shame
I'm personally expecting the 2080 Super to be within 12-13% of the normal 2080Ti at 1440p, even Ultrawide.

What about the minimum fps to keep constant smooth gamplay?
It’s why for decent 4K I had little choice but to opt for the 2080Ti.
I wish AMD had something competitive for less but that’s not to be for now, or any time soon TBH.
Should have given it a go at that price if only to re-sell it! Probably wouldn't have been honoured though.
Hahaha. Already got a Ti, and there was no NVLink on the 2070’s until now.
