I just started Hellblade:Senua's Sacrifice having got it in the Humble Monthly... I didn't know much about it going in but enjoying it so far - really fantastic atmosphere and presentation, though the gameplay itself is a bit stunted - it's sort of one or two steps up from a "walking simulator" (in that there are some things to do including some combat but they're really not the main focus of the game at all)

Meanwhile the wife and I are just about at the end of Borderlands 2... it's been fun but honestly I think it has solidified for me that I just don't get/like these "looter - shooter" type games all that much. Enjoy them for a little while but eventually I just find myself feeling bored and wondering when the game is going to be over - how many more missions that boil down to "go to location X and shoot some people and maybe interact with one or two objects" do we have left?... There is some fun to be had discovering cool new gun combinations and such, but even the most interesting gun in the world is boring when there's nothing cool to do with it. The characters are interesting, but the story is completely forgettable drivel to the point where I couldn't even tell you what's going on or has happened across the course of the game
I've played around 6 hours of Borderlands 2 and I feel the same way.
I find myself just wading in and just gunning everything down, dying multiple times and not really caring. Clap trap is pretty funny but that's about as much as I "feel" for the game.

Finding the division 2 strangely enjoyable.
Also trying to complete rise of the tomb raider before moving on to shadow.

I enjoyed SOM and completed it 2 or 3 times. I thought SOW was so pish I didn't get anywhere near completing it.

I felt Mordor was a bit stunted and War was better.

That said, I've stopped playing War without finishing it yet. Though I blame that more on starting other games and not having a controller just for my PC, so it's never around when I actually want to play.

War has felt more challenging, but at times it does feel artificially difficult with immunities, that just forces you to spam skills. That said, you had the same in Mordor.

Currently playing through D:OS2 again, this time solo tactician. Using Lone Wolf. Finding some things much easier (being far more ruthless/sneaky), and others tougher. It's nice in as much that very few fights have felt impossible, just need to work out better strategies.

Do you prefer solo? I'm finding that managing 4 characters can be a bit of a pain but wondering if going solo will make it too difficult due to less options.

Currently flitting between Darkest Dungeon, Watch Dogs and Far Cry Blood Dragon. There's none I want to play for more than about 20-30 mintues at a time, but alternating between them for a quick gaming session here and there is helping pass the time my wife is watching Love Island! Darkest Dungeon in particular is great for this, as dungeon runs seem to take 15-20 minutes plus a bit of set-up time, making it a perfect quick distraction.

Have you Checked out Darkest Dungeon mods. There are some incredible ones...especially skins. My top members are Geralt(bounty hunter), Slave Knight Gael(leper), Solaire(Man At arms) and Zoltan(hound master).

There are also some great new scenarios

Ooh, no I've not, but that does sound cool. There's kind of a Dark Souls vibe to the game, so I like the idea of bringing that out. I'll have to have a look. I asusme Nexus is the best place to find them?

I like only having one but it can be very tough at points. You can lone wolf with two characters so that could give variety. I'd definitely do that on tactician though, might still be too easy.

I'm finding invisibility is hugely important so far for me though. Get a kill or two then calm and reposition for a big strike. Delaying turns etc.

Skills become more important and planning out each step. Movement and teleport skills are huge. I'm going physical, so blitz, bull rush, charge etc are all essential ways to move around the battlefield still inflicting damage.

I'm using an online build but have varied it a little to get more memory since I'm finding i need variety. Biggest issue is fights against numerous opponents.

Tbh there is nothing on nexus that isn't on Steam workshop. Steam workshop is probably the best place, if you have it on steam of course

I do, yes.

Thanks - I've never used Steam Workshop before so I'd never have thought to look there. I guess I am a few years behind the curve... :)

Darkest Dungeon is one of the few games where Steam Workshop is probably better than Nexus.. Tbh Darkest Dungeon nexus is mostly filled with trash porn skins. Also with Steam Workshop you can just click on subscribe and thats it. Plus steam automatically updates all the mods and remembers what mods you are subscribed to and will download them automatically whenever you install the game.

Only thing to remember is you still need to activate the mod in the ingame mod menu.

Currently dusted off Farming Simulator 2017 and progressing with a Seasons play on Oakfield Farm (excellent UK map). Should really give FS19 another go (refunded the first time) as apparently it has improved a bit since release and has a few mods/maps now available.

Cheers, dude!

Still enjoying DD, but much less so Watch Dogs. It feels a bit... boring? I'm about six missions in - does it get better?
